Death Tax
ISSUE: Eliminate the Death Tax (formerly listed as the Estate Tax).
WHY IMPORTANT: In a 2009 survey of our members, this issue ranked in the top ten; it tied as #3 in importance. (Will be updated after February 12th)
The Death Tax (formerly listed as the Estate Tax) places undo burdens on small and family owned businesses. When faced with this tax, businesses are often forced to downsize, liquidate and lay off workers in order to meet the demands of this tax system.
OUR POSITION: REPEAL and COMPLETELY ELIMINATE the Death Tax.
